Do You Need a New Logo, or Just a Clearer Message?

By Claire Studio · septiembre 26, 2026

When a business stops growing, the logo is often the first thing to be blamed. Sometimes it deserves it. More often, the real problem is not how the brand looks but how unclear it has become about what it offers.

Signs that it is the message

  • People ask «so what exactly do you do?» after visiting your site.
  • You describe your work differently every time someone asks.
  • Your best clients arrive by recommendation, never from your own channels.

If any of these sound familiar, a new logo will only put a nicer frame around the same confusion.

Signs that it really is the logo

A logo needs attention when it no longer works in the places you use it: it disappears at small sizes, it cannot be read on a phone, it only exists as one blurry file, or it belongs to a business you were five years ago. Those are practical problems, and design can solve them.

A logo is a signature, not a speech. It can’t explain your business; it can only sign it.

What to do first

Write one sentence that says who you help, with what, and why it matters. Test it on someone outside your sector. When that sentence is clear, the visual decisions become surprisingly easy, because the design finally has something precise to express.
